Is there any way to disable the auto shut down for when your xbox has insufficient ventilation

You definitely may want to consider sending the console in for repairs. If it's overheating you could further damage it by continuing to use the console. It could be something internal that needs repairing.

To my knowledge there is no way to turn that function of because it if part of the safety and protection of your console with out it you would have had to buy a new xbox a long time ago

How to position your Xbox One console

Xbox One X and Xbox One S can both be positioned vertically, but each console requires dedicated support. The media, which is sold separately or as part of a package, is different for everyone.
