    Is there any way to change my phone number without waiting 30 days?


    Hi, I was trying to add an alternate email address, and it said I needed to verify through my phone number. Problem is, I changed my phone number months ago and now its disabled, so it won't be receiving any SMS. Is there any workaround outside of waiting the 30 days?

    How do I change my phone number on my Microsoft account?

    Even in this link, the verification is via a message to a phone. So without the phone number the request cannot be verified and thus the phone number cannot be changed. It is a eternal loop that goes nowhere!

    There seems to be an option to have the whole account reset but MS state that takes 30 days and the way I read the terms the account is stopped for this period, hence no emails.
