Is there any way I can get my password back?

Due to the nature of your question, I find it important to remind you that we're simply gamers and users of Microsoft Xbox products and services here on the forums, and as such do not have access to other user's personal account information like associated e-mails or passwords. Furthermore, this is a public forum, so please be careful to never share any information that may be used to identify you or put your account or your own safety at risk.

As for your options to hopefully recover the account, you said you lost the backup email on the account, but if you are still signed in on the web you may be able to add a new sign-in option, like another e-mail or phone number, on your account's security tab by clicking on "manage how I sign in" and selecting "add new" (https://account.microsoft.com/security). After that, you'd be able to use this new option as a verification method when attempting to reset your password:

If that's not an option for you, unfortunately your only other way to recover your account is through the Account Recovery Form (https://account.live.com/acsr), because even Live Chat Support (https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us) cannot provide or change our sign-in information (including the password) if we can't prove account ownership through the Recovery Form, for security reasons (see image below).

Not only that, but as you don’t recall the email address, you may want to try recovering your account by submitting the account recovery form but using instead a previously linked phone number or previously created Skype username (is not the same as our gamertag)

Furthermore, please refrain from sharing personal information, including email addresses, gamertags, etc.

Sorry Man but once a username is used you can't get it back

I know that but could I still log back into the old one, change the name, then use it on my new one? Or would it still be taken
