    Is there any relief from the annoying hints in MS Mahjong PC app?


    From the l o n g and frustrating search for info on how to turn off the hints in the MS Mahjong PC app (Windows), it appears there is no way to turn off hints (the mobile app DOES have toggle for showing hints however). The only way I've been able to get some relief from the hints on the PC app is to click on any single tile shortly after making a tile match. That seems to stall the 'hints' from lighting up a set of matching tiles and gives me some time to look for tile match on my own. Still, I have to click on another single tile about every 30 seconds or the 'hints' will resume. Anyone have any other suggestions????

    Hi, if you have friends who play the game. Ask them to do the same, but don't try to flood their support channel

    I submitted a suggestion to the Microsoft casual games team for an app update with some way to control the 'hints' feature on the Windows PC version of Mahjong. Fingers crossed : ).

    Is the volume of noise important in getting the attention of the team for the update. Should others be encouraged to submit a request? A flood is often given more attention than a trickle . . .

    Yeah, that's what the results of my initial search confirmed. I wanted to put my method out there on how the player can at least stall the 'hints' and I'm hoping others may have found some other ways. Thanks for the link and I'll try suggesting this feature to the Microsoft casual games team. Considering the MS online mahjong is strictly a matching game, I can hardly believe any developer would have made displaying 'hints' a default to begin with (duh : )! Both the PC and mobile MS Mahjong apps are visually beautiful and have controls for options including sound and animation. It wouldn't take much to update the code to include an option to disable the default 'hints' feature or a toggle to enable/disable hints. Even better, would be a button to request a 'hint' as suggested by a user in another post.

    It's a bit odd having the Hint off feature on devices and not PC

    I hope the feature can be added as soon as possible
