Is there any recourse for fixing non-functioning x-box mini fridges?

I purchased the xbox mini fridge for my boy for his birthday. He was excited to get it and it looks really cool (pardon the pun). It was delivered on Feb 23rd. We had issues with it icing up after a couple of weeks of use and needing to be defrosted. This was annoying and should not happen with a product of any reasonable quality - but I put up with it.......a couple of days ago the thing stopped working all together. The only sign of life we get is a flashing green light on the top of the unit - there is no fan operation or cooling of any type. So - unless there is a fix to this or a means of getting a replacement for the defective unit then the fridge I got less than 6 months ago (and paid way too much for) is trash.

Please tell me this is not the case.

As Josef stated any repair or warranty work would be bumpy thr fridge manuafacturwr. Information is contained in your documentation

I also purchased the same said fridge. 3 months later doesn’t work. I wouldn’t buy it and has left my sim very upset. Lights and fan done work and is completely pointless

Microsoft is not the mini fridge manufacturer, you may need to reach the store where you purchased it and proceed there requesting the warranty for it

Glad you brought this up.

I have read the owner's manual and am aware of that. They do not market it as a "camping cooler". Nor do they state on the outside of the box it "is not intended for continuous operation" when purchasing.

Of course, it doesn't have refrigerant. Not one mini-fridge I own does. They all use Peltier semiconductor electronic refrigeration cooling setup as a heat pump configuration. They are also classified as solid-state refrigerators or thermoelectric coolers.

They call it a mini-fridge and market it as one. I own multiple as stated above and they have all been running years without issue as designed and marketed for use as a mini-fridge. Unlike this Xbox mini-fridge.

This product is a gimmick for the novelty of the design, with inferior engineering.

Being aware of the engineering problems the way to pass the blame on the consumer is to put a lame sticker on the door stating water build-up inside is normal, which not one of my other mini-fidges does. And put in the owner's manual not intended for continuous operation.

Nobody bought this to not use, or it not be ready with cold drinks in a game room, or flooded out the door with water, or iced up non-functioning.

Is there any recourse for fixing non-functioning x-box mini fridges?
