    I know this may sound like a stupid question, but about 3 years ago i decided to be a smarty pants and said "Xbox won't ban me for this" and proceeded to modify my Avatar's colors using an unauthorized third party program many years ago just to look cool,
    little did i know that was strictly against Xbox guidelines. After doing that a few months later i was hit with a Permanent ban and of course regretted my decision for going against Xbox guidelines, not only that but it killed be inside to know that my account
    with my favorite Gamer Tag was banned and was really upset for my stupid actions. I know its been 3 years since the initial ban, but is there any possible way i can get my account back?, I've been thinking about it a lot lately, if not, is there a way to at
    least get the gamer tag associated with the account back to a different account i own? If theirs anything the Xbox Live enforcement team could do that would be amazing. And believe me i was young and dumb granted it happened 3 years ago, and will not be going
    against Xbox guidelines ever again, since then I've had another account but I had a lot of close friends and memories tied to that account and wish to be able to use it once again.

    I'm afraid nothing can be done at this point. Case reviews are only available for suspensions issued within the last 12 months. Since we are talking three years, I'm afraid that account is lost forever. Sorry about that ...

    Hey there!

    Thank you for reaching out to us on the Forums!

    Unfortunately there is no way to remove a permanent suspension from an account once the Enforcement Team has issued one.

    As well as the gamertag, this is not something that we have the ability to do. If you do wish to create a new account you will need to try and use the same gamertag and if it is available then you are good to go, if the gamertag is not available then unfortunately
    you will need to create a different gamertag.

    Hey Randy, firstly Xbox Enforcement doesn't actually use these forums. Secondly, as it was longer than 12 months ago, you won't be able to do anything. The account can't be recovered.

    My first thought was it was an easy way around any sort of credit glitch like in 3. I can see why they did it though, but over-all, it's as dumb as integrating kinect with it.
