Is there any point in the redemption page?

As I spent ages trying to claim the below before and was informed that MS was having problems due to the number of people trying to claim (which should have been expected by MS given the closing of this system) my case was closed without me being able to
respond. -

That on it's own is awful customer service and then to add insult to injury MS has now decided that all the 5k credit things have been claimed so I'm unable to use the MyVIP Gem things to claim anything of any even slightly remote worth (see below pic).



Every time I've come onto this site to claim a reward (normally the above) it's been out of stock so what exactly is the point in even having the 'rewards' to be claimed if nobody can actually claim them?

Also, reading a lot of these other threads, half the time people claim rewards and they don't actually get credited / receive their claimed reward despite their balance going down, this is shockingly bad from Microsoft especially as there seems to be minimal
genuine help for anyone with issues.

You'll need to call them, after giving the information they will tell you how long it will take.

You'll need to speak with phone support to start a UA like Wired suggested. Phone support will need to take a lot of information from you, and they then send it off to the Xbox Enforcement Team to look into. If it's found that you weren't in control of the
profile and it wasn't done on your console they will return the account to you. It ultimately depends on the outcome of their investigation.

What is Microsoft closing?

 

The Xbox Rewards system. They are combining it into the Microsoft Rewards system.

And now they are screwing people over because they rarely restocked the reward claims and are closing the system. Microsoft Rewards has been going for a while and it makes sense to combine it into one system, however the ratio they are converting points
over if you haven't claimed (because you've been unable to) is shockingly bad.

They also keep closing support cases about this, not allowing people to respond to their idiocy. I'm surprised this hasn't been closed to be honest as it's calling them out for being rubbish.

 

The program runs even longer in some countries. But what's the use of keeping it running longer if they don't restock.
