Is there any chance at recovering the account?

So my account got hacked and I took it through escalations, this is the response that they gave me:

Greetings,

My name is blank with Microsoft Customer Support. I appreciate your patience while I have performed an investigation of your account.

Account security is a top priority at Microsoft, and we have a team dedicated to investigating and validating fraudulent activity. The account and billing activity associated with your Microsoft account was thoroughly reviewed by our fraud team, and I can confirm there was unauthorized access to your account. Unfortunately, during the investigation process, we found that your security information has been changed.

Unfortunately, when security features are updated on an account, we are unable to assist with an account recovery as these types of updates and/or removal are completely out of control of customer service. We are unable to make any changes to the security information on the account due to security protocols set up and the acceptance of the Microsoft Services Agreement when the account was created.

The only option we have is to permanently suspend this account to prevent any further use. At this time, I have successfully suspended this account, and this will remain on indefinitely.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during the investigation of your account.

After that I was kinda devastated as I spent over 5 years on the account and it would be wiped in a decision made in about two seconds. Anyways, I happened to know the email that is was changed to through a Microsoft family screen time report. I was fairly certain that would be the changed email so, I filled out an account recovery form. Actually three. And all three came back verifying me as the owner after they had told they couldn’t recover it due to security info changes. So is there still any chance at recovering the account? I have so many memories and about $450 value of the account.

I couldn't say specifically what it would request. It would be between them and Xbox for the time being while they build up the case. If you go that route they'd be able to give you more information on what to expect

Hello John, sorry to hear you've lost your account.

I can certainly understand your frustration at this and would like to give you as much help as I can. Unfortunately, support is your topmost point for getting your account back. As their hands seem to be tied your best bet now would be to involve your local or state authorities on this. They can supply a subpoena to Xbox regarding the account information in the hopes of getting it back for you.

In the meantime, if you have any payment methods associated with your account I'd recommend notifying your bank/credit card company

Hmm, is there any chance you were both trying to recover the account simultaneously? If your friend cannot recover the account on a different console and HDD either, then you may want to give phone support a call about the account.
