    So u try getting a japanese name on my xbox as a gamertag but i only get it with #1234 behind it and i dont like it actually so i need some help if there is a way to get the numbers away any tipps ?

    No. Using special characters will always add the suffix.

    It's possible they may see their gamertag without the suffix.
    It depends on the game doesn't it? Some games display it as just name and some as name#1234? But most definite way to see your name without # is to visit your own profile.

    In this case you would get the name with a suffix like#1234.

    But I think it's obvious why this name isn't allowed, if you think about the last 5 letters..

    Some people are trying to hide words that are not allowed in other words or with a different writing to bypass the rules and restrictions. Not you of course ! 😉

    Update error codes are normally in the format 1234-5678-90AB-CDEF-1234-5678. Could I get you to post the full error code you're getting? You may end up having a totally different issue.

    It is the new gamertag system where people can have the same name now just have something like this at the end: #1234
