Unfortunately, the process is done within the Steam account, and Microsoft does not have access.

I had gone a step further, unlinked my main account from steam, linked, then unlinked my old account from steam, relinked main account, uninstalled the game, deleted the folder of FH5 in my steam folder, and reinstalled, and upon reinstallation it finally let me pair my main account!
