Is there a way to skip xbox update and still stay online

At the moment I dont have wifi and I still want to play my games but I cant because everytime I want to play and I activate my phone hotspot It ALWAYS forces me to do an update or be offline when I just wanna download games from ready to install like skyrim
or fallout 4 its there is always an udate I gotta do before my problem used to be that skyrim and fallout 4 kept wanting to update one day I accidentally deleted them but the update is in the way and every 30min it just goes 2% higher because my data is slow
does anyvody know how to skip the xbox update and still stay online? If yes could the person that knows explain?

Latest update Fake error

i had the latest update last night and it was completed so no issue there

But now i keep getting an error when i do thing on it but when i click skip&stay offline im still online and can play game watch videos so i dont know whats the problem is with my xbox

Update failed

I just got a message on my xbox saying update failed with the error code 0x88050033, 0x00000000, 0x00000201. I clicked the skip and stay offline but it brought me back to how it normally is and I am still online(typing this from my xbox one) I went to check
my settings and it says I'm up to date. So what happened?

Hey there!

I'm sorry to hear about the issue. Unfortunately, if your console is not fully updated, you won't be able to install games from your "Ready to Install" list until you update it totally. If you don't have Wi-Fi, are you able to bring your console to a friend's
house maybe so you can update it there?

Only way to skip it is to not have your console connected to online.

If you want to use your console online then you will have to have the new update.

Oh, BTW, I've tried skipping the update and staying offline. This results in a crash and green screen of death several days later and while you are offline your games don't cloud save. I lost five days of Skyrim this way.

my console doesn't detect the update even if I hard reset. By mistake I put skip and stay offline and now if I go to the settings it just says No update available even I was prompted when I turned on my xbox.

Just got the update to download by unplugging the xbox and network cable, waiting about 2 minutes plugging the power cord in and not the network cable. Powered on and got the update. It failed the first time and i went to skip and stay offline then went
to connect to xbox live and it is now working
