Is there a way to retrieve game save from the could after a game has been removed from Game...

Thank you for the response, but it doesn't quite answer my question.

I understand where the local save should be (C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Packages\<Persona5GameFolderName>), but the local save does not seem to exist any more.

The game in question has "Xbox cloud saves" and "Xbox play anywhere" so it's my impression that I should be able to download a cloud save, is that right?

If so, I would like to grab that cloud save. However I no longer have access to the game itself because it was removed from GamePass. Is there a way to download that cloud save?

Hi, I'm sorry that solution wasn't the right one, Yes, you should be able to download a cloud save game that has "Xbox cloud saves" and "Xbox game anywhere". However, if you no longer have access to the game, you may not be able to download the cloud save.

In order to reach the solution, follow the following steps.

Open the Xbox app on your PC.

Click the "Games" tab.

Find the game you want to download the cloud save.

Click the "Options" button.

Select "Manage saved files."

Select the cloud save you want to download.

Click the "Download" button.

I'm sorry you have this problem, researching on the internet I was able to find that in the forum, the independent advisor Gerardo, recommends the following steps for a solution.

Most games that have local saves save them in "C:\Users\(YourUser)\AppData\Local\Packages"

So I recommend you make a backup of that folder. Some games, for example some of the Bethesda games, I also believe store save files in the Documents folder like "C:\Users\(YourUser)\Documents\My Games\".

So I recommend checking and backing up your documents folder as well, or better yet, back up your entire user folder and then find the restore you need when you need it, if you have enough storage memory to save your backup.

I don't believe once the save has been overwritten there is any way to retrieve it from past days.

I apologize but once the file has been deleted from the system there will be no option for us to retrieve it.

If you're also pertaining to your saved games, if you're playing the game connected to Xbox Live it will just re-sync.
