Is there a way to remove XBox Live from a 360 profile?

I just added live to my original 360 profile (which never had it), but now it can't have its original name and while it is a stupid reason, I really want the name back. Is there any way to remove the Live from the 360 profile without losing it? Will it get its old name back afterwards?

Once it becomes a Live account, there's no way to revert it back to an offline account.

I removed my XBox One profile completely. Is there a way to remove just the 360 profile from my XB1?

Oh! My apologies I read that as the Xbox app in Windows 10, but I now see this is the Xbox 360 we're troubleshooting here. Have you tried removing your Xbox Live profile from your Xbox 360 console and signing back in? Check

Have you tried Removing and Redownloading your
Xbox Live profile from your Xbox 360 console? As long as you are currently able to log in with your new email address into Xbox Live and Xbox.com, removing and redownloading your profile is the best place to start.
