I had a Torrid time trying to get it to shut off last night.

Thank you for the suggestion. I turned off the Wi-Fi Router, and tried my Xbox, but it did not rectify the issue. I can turn on my Xbox, but it automatically shuts off after about 30-60 seconds. I cannot connect a controller, and it doesn't put out a signal for the HDMI cord to pick up, so I have no way of accessing the settings on my Xbox. I have also tried multiple power outlets, inspecting the power cord for any faults, and doing a hard reset (which was unsuccessful on multiple attempts) and nothing seems to work. i have the first generation of Xbox one consoles, so maybe it's time for me to cave and buy a new Xbox

Check for firmware updates for your router. Update with the latest firmware if you're on a lower version and try again.

I swapped disc drives between my two consoles. One could play Black Ops 2, but I bought it off ebay and it was banned from Live. So I swapped that drive with my other xbox, which cannot play black ops 2, and the new drive in it (Which CAN play Black Ops
2 in the other xbox) cannot once being installed into the xbox that could not play it. This is clearly not the drives being bad in any way.
