is there a way to move gaming data from a parent account to a child account?

As Smwutches has stated, It is not possible to transfer game data from one account to another. In these cases it's always best to have a child account created for your son so that the games and all game data are saved to your sons account.

Unfortunately no. Nothing can be transferred between accounts.

There is an option on the Parent Account to remove a child from the parent account, but I'm not sure of a way to attach it to a different parent account.

Remove the xbox from the internet? you cant possibly be serious. Maybe we can find star skipping unicorns to make magic love rainbows in the fluffly leprechaun clouds of microsoft development??

How about recognizing that parnet/child accounts dont work. Creating a dummy account and moving the parent account to a child account and losing save games isnt an option either. Its just a lazy cop-out. Because what i need in my busy life of a parent is
another email(user ID) and password to keep track of

Plus who wants to explain why the child has to loose all his fortnite and other game data because we need to set screen limits?

Heres an idea... allow the creation of a master account, specifically keeping the parent email address and microsoft account. Then make the parent account a sub(child) account. That way we can set screen time limits and keep the saved game data without making
some impossible to remember dummy email account.

Hey there! The only way to remove a parent account from a child account is to log in with the parent WLID/password and remove the child from the family. If your account is now over 17, you can simply promote your account, the option is found under account
