Is there a way to help me please?

I’ve been using Xbox for a fair amount of time and my Xbox has always been shared between people in my house. I recently received a ban for breaking the guidelines and waited till it was over. While I was taking a break from that others were using the xbox more often than I was. I called up Xbox and had a nice chat with support about how I can avoid situations like this and how to report the other player so I could leave all of that behind me. Then I log in and see that a ban has now been placed on a console and not an account. I’m indirectly affected by this as a result of other people sharing the Xbox with me and I have already been punished for first strike. Now it’s being taken a step further because I just renewed my monthly game pass and won’t get any time out of it because of all of this happening. I don’t expect miracles but if any of this is a miracle it’s that I’ll be off the hypocritical platform that allows for injustices like this to happen. All I ever wanted was a place free from hate, toxicity, and violence. I use my Xbox to help me through my depression, my mental health, it’s my escape. Idc if you take it away from someone who deserves it for breaking guidelines, but when it personally falls on me for no reason at all I tend to feel disappointed. I know there’s probably nothing that can be done cause I looked up if console bans can be appealed but apparently they take them very seriously it’s just a petty shame that they can’t take my report’s seriously. Hi thank you I wasn’t sure what the forum was really able to do in terms of help. I’ve tried by looking through enforcement on Xbox directly but they don’t even have a way to ask about the console ban or why I even received one. It’s sad that I have to take a break that will most likely drive me away from gaming but I think all things happen for a reason and while i still feel hurt cause Xbox won’t help me I feel positive that I can leave behind years of wasted time and finally move on with myself. A blessing in disguise truly and I hope anyone reading has a good day, don’t let the better of yourself get to you like I did and find out what you truly want to do we only get one life I’m finally done wasting mine it’s time to build

I'm sorry you're having this issue, as I understand your concerns about the privacy of your account and how annoying not being able to access it can be. Situations where our email account with personal information, contacts, messages and even our documents are really involved are a little more delicate.

When the hacker manages to change the password, and the account alias, it is because he also has access to security information, as well as, cell phone, alternative email that you yourself registered in your account.

Unfortunately, when the hacker manages to change the account's security information, the account is hardly recoverable. That's why it's very important to keep your security info up to date and use different passwords across all platforms.

Even if you create the account with the same domain as before, you will not be able to view your games, subscriptions and emails, as it is a new account.

I'm a user like you and there's not much I can do in the community as visibility is public. Contact MSA Support and see if you can follow the Account Takeover (ATO), investigation is done on a case-by-case basis.
