Is there a way to get support to attempt a manual account recovery?

Hi, I'm trying to recover my old account from the xbox 360 days:

The email that I'm fairly sure is tied to the account is now a discontinued service (@excite.com), and the form to recover is proving difficult to use as some of the information I'm no longer sure of (old card expiry etc), is there a way to get support to attempt to manually recover the account, as the automated system says that I haven't provided enough information, despite attempting the recovery from the same location that the account would have been used at in the past.

Im pretty sure I've got most of the information correct such as security question, old passwords etc.

If there were some account specific questions they could ask I'm fairly sure I could answer them?

Any advice from support staff would be appreciated.

I appreciate the opportunity to let you know that no one at Microsoft can view, change the account details, or send password reset links to you, this is for security policies.

They can assist you with how to fill out the recovery form.

The only way this could happen is if the friends were deleted manually off the account. In no way could your friends simply dissappear from a "Glitch" in recovery, especially if you let the Recovery process fully finish.

I forgot the password and Since I don't remember it xbox support would lead me to those account recovery fourms and my attempts and the infomation I submit get denied.

Thanks for your post. Without being signed into your account there is no way to find the email, the best option would be to attempt to complete an
Account Recovery form or contact support using the
Contact Us portal to explore options or possibilities for account recovery.

Hello Stealthnat, what Raett said is correct. The only way to promote your account is from the console. If it requires you to accept the TOU with the parent password you can go to
https://account.live.com/password/reset to try and reset the password on the parent account. If you can't reset it this way you can go to https://account.live.com/acsr
and attempt the password recovery form. If you are unable to reset the password with the msa recovery form call Xbox support and they can assist you from there on with getting the parent account password reset.
