Is there a way to fix your control losing connection after clipping something

Please, reset your controller pairing.

To unpair it, press and hold the pair button on top of the controller for a few seconds until it vibrates twice.

Then, pair it again.

Turn on your controller by pressing and holding the Xbox button.

Press and release the Pair button on the Xbox.

Within 20 seconds, press and hold the controller’s Pair button a circular button on top of the controller as you hold it in your hands) until the controller's Xbox button flashes a few times.

That means it's searching for a console.

The Xbox button stays lit once it's connected.

I've had similar experiences with long clips (I.E. 5 minute clips which end up losing over 30 seconds of the capture). My guess is this could be just an issue with Xbox's capturing system (Something out of your control basically). I

This is still an issue after recent updates.

If you create clips or screenshots when the console is offline, those screenshots cannot be saved or shared. I don't see any reason to restrict users in this way, and I don't want to lose content that happens to get created when the console is offline, if
for some reason the console isn't connected.

Please could this be fixed.

I had the same problem as you, the thing that fixed it for me, and something i read works for other people as well, is connecting your controller to an Xbox One with a USB. I had to search high and low for an Xbox to connect it, but in the end it worked.

If you still have that controller, you can fix it that way

The most common headset problem is connection. If you play a lot of multi-player gaming like Halo or CoD a problem can develop at the mic-connection. The Mic-jack on the controller has two very small metal tabs that overtime tend to move out from each other.

The way I know to fix it is to carefully take apart your controller to access the mic-jack. Once you have access to it, take a very small piece of metal (i.e. paper clip, T-pins[women use them for sowing], or something similar) to bend (very carefully) the
metal tabs back together. You DO NOT want them to touch, just be closer together.

After you have done this test out your mic. I will caution you, it will be best to try a secondary controller to see if the mic or controller is a fault first. If the mic does not work a in a secondary controller, good chance the mic is at fault.
