    Is there a way to change the numbers in your gamertag?


    I'm trying to change my gamertag, but the problem is that on the "Here's what your gamertag will look like" The top version (Xbox One console and Xbox apps) has random numbers after the hashtag that I don't want. Is there any way to change this? I was able to change the bottom version (Xbox games that don't support the new gamertag system) into having the numbers I want, but not the top.

    You can make a unique gamertag that nobody has, just think about something new or something nobody would choose and it won't have the # numbers in it, generate one that's unique or think of something, good day 😊

    No. The randomly generated numbers are meant to be random so no 2 people can have the same tag.

    As smwutches mentioned only by using a unique not used with either numbers or different spellinh

    Name or trying thr name again fit another random set

    The reason for the change was so people didnt have to useE a different spelling and got a randomized number to .are it unique

    Why does my gamertag show up as User and then alot of numbers?

    I have changed my gamertag and when I am online playing games it will show up as User and then have a lot of numbers. I even paid to have my gamertag changed and it still does the same thing. Is there a way I can change this. I want for the right gamertag to show up when I am online.
    It means someone else already had the same gamertag as you.

    Whenever you change your gamertag to something that someone is already using itll put numbers at the end to differentiate you and other players who have the same gamertag.

    Itll show you how your gamertag would look before completing the purchase including if it will have numbers at the end.

    The only way to get a gamertag without the numbers at the end would be to change it to one no one else has.
