Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you want to change the email address that's associated with your Xbox since you used your parent's account during the initial setup process.

All of your games are tied to your Microsoft account, therefore, you cannot change the initial email address that you setup with Microsoft. What you can do instead is to add a new alias. An alias is an additional email address associated with your Outlook.com account.

An alias uses the same inbox, contact list, and account settings as your primary email address. You can sign in to your Outlook.com account with any alias—they all use the same password.

To add an alias, follow these steps:

Go to https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=864833.

Sign in to your Microsoft account, if prompted.

Under Add an alias, do one of the following:

Create a new Outlook.com email address and add it as an alias.

Add an existing email address as an alias.

Unfortunately, after you link a Minecraft: Java Edition account to a Microsoft Secure Account (MSA), the accounts are permanently linked and cannot be unlinked. However, I would highly suggest getting in touch with Mojang Support to see if they can change the email.

I'm afraid there isn't a way to unlink the account from this end. You could try reaching out to Minecraft support if they can do it for you.
