    Is there a time frame for a classic gamertag to change?


    Today i hsve changed my username on xbox but only the Classic Gamertag and the transaction has went through but i do not see the classic name change even after restarting my console.

    UPDATE: It has now been updated, i discovered that you can not solely change the classic gamertag by renetering your current user. This tries to open up the name fkr being used but takes it at the same time so i simply added and extra space in the user and all is solved. The user change had not went through. Thank you for the help

    I did select the customise old gamertag system, i have tried Call of Duty: Black Ops III as well as Halo 5: Guardians which dont support the new system and they do not have my newly bought user.

    Thanks for confirming. During the procedure via https://social.xbox.com/ChangeGamerTag, did you select the option to customize your old gamertag system?

    Also, maybe the game you're trying to play supports the new gamertag system. Does it show on your game the new gamertag (new Gamertag system) or your previous old gamertag (old gamertag system)?
