Rumors and speculation. Until these things are in black and white and on the box when it is on sale, I cant believe that it will be monitoring EVERYTHING. But playing "devil's advocate", what if it was? Information for the customer satisfaction has been
convoluted in media hype, and wholesales not actual sales of products. No one wants to do surveys anymore (I am one of them) and since focus groups are a small fraction of the gaming and retail population, products DONT get better. So who is in the wrong?
No one likes telemarketers, surveys, or ads. So how would YOU improve your products?

Sit in the shoes of a company/inventor. How will you get your product out there without ads, focus groups, word of mouth, surveys, and the like? You think it takes off on its own? Look at Indie games. Small group, limited funds. How will people play your
games? Sony says EVERYONE can publish there games. It will feel like walking in Wal-Mart, and the store not spaced out in compartments. Do you know how confusing that will be?

All in all, phone calls, cell phone usage, PC webbrowsing, ect. Product improvement begins and ends with monitoring. But it is the same as car manufacturers. Test drive, surveys, and customer satisfaction, make better cars!

Microsoft can see all this as a complement sometimes I think.

Because you make them look like they have unlimited power over the whole world.

Well if I would be them, I would just smile.

They will always have the confidence to try to make you happy with their products.

They are not interested in conquering the world.

I hope one day you people know how wrong you are.

They give you new technology and your freak out because you watched too many hollywood movies.

You should just welcome it and try it.

Why? Because Microsoft can do all this, others would be limited and maybe fail.

How sad would it be when amazing things like they can offer us, would fade away.

Invent the future.

That is exactly what they do.
