    Is there a microphone that will plug into the XBox Series S or the wired controller that will allow us to hear fiends playing online and them to hear us? We don't want to use a headset and we don't want to use the Xbox app because the other players don't want to bother with that. We bought a mic a couple years ago but it doesn't work right...They can hear us but we can't hear them. Help.

    I imagine this headset is wired and has a 3.5mm connector, right? If I'm correct, the Xbox Series S controller has an output that you can plug the headset into the controller.

    No, it's not possible to use an Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S controller on an Xbox 360 even connected with a wire.

    Is the microphone socket on your controller blocked by anything or has a previous wired microphone lead snapped while in the controller? The reason I ask this is because any wired microphone will not let a wireless microphone connect to the controllers player
    number. If it looks clear, start up an Xbox Live party and check if it says a microphone is connected without turning on your wireless microphone, if it says a microphone is connected then there's the issue. If it's possible I would return it to the retailer
    you bought it from for an exchange.
