    Sony has the licencing agreement with MLB. There is no way they are going to share that with MS. There wont be an MLB on xbox for however long their agreement is. I'm sure there are developers that would do it, but they can't. Best they could do is make
    a game with no-name players in no-name stadiums.

    I have to ask again...why does it have to be MS to make a MLB game? Why come on their forums and complain to them? Has MS ever self published a MLB game in the past? If it is SO obvious that a MLB game will make any profits (after paying a hefty license
    fee, no doubt); then any number of game publishers would be bending over backwards to do it. The lack of any publishers doing so, speaks volumes.

    Forza Horizon 5 on Playstation.

    They wanted to take it to a wider audience. More money. MLB had been exclusive for years. This was a great decision for MLB. It was the MLB itself that pushed Sony into going multiplat. (We go to other platforms or we give the license to another developer).

    Right now, the definitive MLB game is The Show, which is a Sony first party (or second party maybe?) game to my knowledge. Developers have to pay a MASSIVE amount of money for the license to official sports franchises to their respective sports leagues to
    get access to the teams and athletes.

    I’m not sure how long The Show/RBI have left on their contracts with MLB, but due to how big of a deal The Show is for Sony, I’d bet that they will bid their butts off to keep their deal with MLB going in perpetuity. If another developer or platform (like
    EA maybe?) can come

    the table with more money for MLB the next time the contract comes up, absolutely we could see a great MLB game come to Xbox. For now, not super likely, but fingers crossed!
