    I have an Xbox one S and an adapter for a Kinect. I bought a Kinect from a pawn shop yesterday got home plugged it in and nothing. Didn’t work or turn on at all. I brought it back to the pawn shop and they told me there were two version of the Kinect and
    I needed the 2.0 not the one they gave me (even though they look identical). I found someone selling one near me and I want to buy it but I want to make sure it will work she said it is the 1520 model so will this work on my Xbox one S with the adapter?

    Someone had made a post similar describing the difference in the LED's but nothing more than that. The Kinect sensor and adapters are discontinued

    Personally I think Xbox One should have come out last year and Kinect 2.0 this year as a optional it the Kinect for 360 didn't sell so good than they wouldn't have forced Kinect 2.0 onto us

    Not in any way, the two kinects are totally different and there's no compatibility between them for games or the consoles.

    You will need a Kinect 2.0 (for Xbox one) and the Xbox one Kinect adapter for the Xbox one X.

    Hello "DaBeastOfPa" :)

    You are not alone in loving the Kinect 2.0 of the Xbox One because a lot of people like it.

    However, I for one don't see any point in the Kinect 2.0 that is why I got the Kinectless Xbox One bundle and spent the $100 that I would have spent for the Kinect on Forza Motorsport 5 & another controller instead :)

    It is a custom shaped USB 3.0 port coupled with a power port.
