    Is the word "Mook" not allowed in gamertags?


    Just as the subject says. I plan on changing my gamertag soon but, it says "This gamertag isn't allowed. Try a different one." whenever I use my common username. The name contains the word "mook" in it which may be considered an insult. Is that why?

    Microsoft does not give specific information about which words are not allowed or why they are not allowed. You could try a combination of other words and characters, there should be no problem with that, but by itself the word "Blood" is not allowed by the system to be used as a gamertag.

    FURY, commando gear, no consumable gear. EAGLE 7, power magnifier (yes I know it doesn't affect the BEs, but it allows me to kill mooks with throw, and boosts AF and DC damage significantly).

    Changing forced gamertag not justifying

    I suggest you use google to search why that gamertag/word is extremely racist.

    If a gamertag is not allowed on xbox live then it's not allowed to posted on the forums either.

    I understand you need help on changing your gamertag.

    Just a heads up that modern gamertags with the new update already has some words being filtered due to a large number or languages being used on the Xbox community. If the gamertag you are trying to choose is not allowed, this usually means that some of the words on that gamertag are not allowed with the system.

    I suggest using a different gamertag instead that the system will allow.
