    I recently got a pair of Phillips headphones and the microphone works in everything except my xbox and I'm just wondering if they are even compatible with the xbox

    If it doesn't have the "Designed for Xbox" logo, it's not going to work. You need to use the 3.5mm jack in the controller, no USB

    Accessories must be licensed

    Not all USB microphones works on Xbox, you may need to search for compatible microphones

    As for backwards compatible games, although backwards compatibility is coming to Xbox One this fall only the games that will be in the list will be available

    Yes Hassassinade is right it must be an Xbox compatible microphone and most game microphones will tell you such as the official Rockband and Band Hero Mics and others like madcatz just make sure if purchasing online that it is Xbox compatible
