Is streaming your xbox series x/s possible in a laptop?

hear me out, so I have a gaming laptop and so i tried plugging in my xbox seires x into my laptops hdmi port so it showed the xbox in my laptop's integrated monitor, it did not detect the connection nor sent any notification, so, is it possible to do this anyhow? if not, will it be possible one day?

Well, to be honest, I have not much of an idea, it does appear on the connected devices on my computer settings, but other than that it wont allow me to do anything, does this mean something?

Is the HDMI port on your laptop an HDMI in port or just an HDMI out port? Most laptops only have an HDMI out port if anything. You cannot get video in if you only have an HDMI out port.

Unless you plan to buy either a Series S or Series X in the not too distant future, you might want to think about cancelling your pre-order for Starfield. The game will be part of the GP Ultimate as a game stream if you subscribe to the service.

You can play Xbox Ultimate cloud streamed games on phone's, tablets, PC/laptops and on Xbox consoles as long as you have an ultimate subscription and a compatible controller.

Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X controllers work on Xbox Series X|S, and vice versa. However, Xbox 360 is on it's own, similar to the OG Xbox.

What's cool however is if you remote stream Xbox One, One S, One X, Series S, or Series X on, say, a PC, you can plug in a 360 controller and use it on the newer generation.

But no, newer controllers aren't supported on 360.
