Is remote play down or is this latest update stopping this?

I had my Xbox One Media remote stop working for me after months of use. After talking to customer support. They told me to do a factory reset. There was an issue with the latest update. After the reset, it worked. Make sure to select the reset that
keeps your games and apps.

I am also having this issue with two different Xbox Ones and two different media remotes. Most likely a recent update has caused all of our remotes to stop working correctly.

Hey so I have the latest update and it seems like this problem doesn't occur any more. I think it has to do with the TV app. I make sure that my HD box is powered down both before opening and quitting the TV app. I have been doing this well before the latest
update and the problem has not reoccured, so I can't really say the new update has fixed it for me until I stop doing this.

I still have all my game demo disks although I stopped getting the mag at the beginning of the year. Another feature of the game demo disks is that after the first big update to the Xbox when they launched the NXE. The demo disk started carrying the latest
update so people who never connected could update and play the latest games that required it.
