Is play with pride needed?

And that my friends is why you have things like Play With Pride.

Every company wants to show they are inclusive to all categories but by saying they are inclusive to a certain category they are not being inclusive to the ones they don't mention. It's getting very silly.

Silly is putting it mildly. All are welcome! That is so much easier. Otherwise rotate every week or even day for anyone that feels separate. News flash, we are not and will never be separate.

You aren't wrong there and those are great "build your character" games, but I'd love to see a game like the Witcher 3 where the character is written as gay. I agree with the debate about Geralt being written as heterosexual. Writer's prerogative. Great
game none the less. What I find problematic is that it's acceptable to do that with a heterosexual character, but it would be an outrage if the main character was written exclusively as a gay man, GOTY or not.

Your never going to get a “triple A” game with LGBT characters and the reason for this is they form a minority in the grand scheme of things. Why would you spend millions on a game to sell it to an audience of so few.

LGBT characters have been in games for years.

gaming by its very nature is inclusive so it is only natural for it to support minorities who feel excluded in the real world.

XBox, along with many other mediums/platforms/arenas, is indeed open to all ages including children. In fact, it's also open to LGBT+ children, which I can tell you from personal experience as a young, "impressionable" child growing up in the South all the
way through to my service in the military and even to this day, I am constantly reminded that I am not normal or that I am accepted and safe as long as no one knows that I have a husband instead of a wife.

If you stand by your view that all gaming should be neutral, then there should be no content to suggest a heterosexual relationship. Meaning Kratos does not have a wife or child, Geralt has no amorous history with Yennifer or Triss, not to mention most any
game with a story or allusion to a heterosexual relationship to neutralize sexuality and make it truly "inclusive". If that's your plan, then I'd be down as it is truly equal in that it excludes everyone and not just everyone who isn't like you.

But the norm for everything else on XBox (and everything beyond) is indeed heterosexual and there are no platforms or vocal opponents saying that heterosexual representation or support confuses their young, impressionable children among many other claims,
the addition of an LGBT+ advertisement does not exclude but it adds to the narrative. The games presented are still playable by heterosexual players except they will include LGBT+ characters. That does not mean there will be graphic sexual content. It means
there are characters who may have relationships beyond heterosexual or may include gender identities beyond binary gender constructs.

If that is an issue for you, then I must disagree with your statement that you don't "have anything against LGBTQ". But I respect your opinion and remind you that have control over what you and your children are exposed to, unlike LGBT+ parents and children
who do not have that choice.
