Is my Xbox Series X wifi card faulty?

My xbox will not hold a stable connection to the wifi hotspot. No settings have been changed. It does not allow me to sign in to any profile. Keeps saying network error/need to be connected to the internet.

I did a system restore/reset without success.

Iv restarted everything/ unplug and reconnect everything.

Only thing i have not yet tried is giving it an internet connection with an ethernet cable as i dont have a router.

im using my phone as a hotspot.

I have a second xbox next to it that connects perfectly to the same wifi hotspot without error.

Have you tried to connect to another hotspot/wi-fi connection?

Whithout testing it a little more it's difficult to be certain if the network card is faulty.

Please, try clearing your MAC address.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system, then Settings.

In the General tab, select Network settings > Advanced settings > Alternate MAC address > Clear.

Restart your console. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your controller to open the Power Center.

Select Restart console and then select Restart.

(If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart.)

Sign in to your console.

If you still have issues, I recommend you try different connections, but, you can also submit a repair request.

It seems that your wifi card is faulty if you have already tried all these solutions and on friends connections too.

Is your Xbox One X under warranty? I would send it to Xbox Support team so they can repair it.

Sounds like a faulty internal wifi card to me.

If your xbox is new or still under warranty then try taking it back to shop and getting it swapped for a new one.
