Is my Xbox Series X or my LG C3 48 inch faulty? Or software issue? The games?

Hi all,

I Hope somebody might help me with this.

Two years a go I bought an Xbox series X and recently I bought an LG C3 48 inch.

I have experienced some issues.

The most Extreme One Is while playing Cyberpunk 2077, especially After update 2.0. Basically, textures flickering continuosly, especially under lights, lights also on their on, and often the images get grainy (the surfaces).

While I play Hogwarts Legacy, near North hogsmeade, there are two houses. One Is where you can buy hearbs and mushrooms. While I walk up the stairs, the brightness keep flickering often.

Another Place where brightness flickers briefly (1/3 of a second) Is when for example i'm on settings (Xbox menu) and while I go down from general tò account to system and on, the tiles brightness flickers.

I don't know if my Xbox Is faulty or my TV or these games have these problems on other xboxs too.

On Xbox I've left refresh rate on 60. And allm activated and the vrr applies only on games.

On TV I have activated game optimizer (freesync premium activated). I've reset my Xbox and also clear my cache. Also turned off by keeping the button for more than 10 seconds.

I did deactivated vrr, dolby vsion, and turned off game optimizer. Didn't change anything. I have changed also HDMI cable ( ultra High Speed). Also didnt change anything. Is the TV not working well with Xbox? Is the TV or Xbox hardware issue? Software issue? Games on their on are the problem?

I had brightnes flickering lightly on biomutant map appearance but when I left refresh rate on 60, didnt happen anymore.

On FH5 while I go from the First festival to mulege city, the Sky changes brightness often (lighlty) (during day).( this Is the part from the festival to before passing below the highway).

Could It be the os of Xbox, As Im not anymore in the lower ring?

I Hope I was clear and somebody might help.

My Xbox Isnt under warranty anymore.

Hi,

Now I've have started to have new issues. Often when I turn on my Xbox, on my tv appears no signal or Just Black screen. Is happening often. I changed HDMI Port andcable HDMI. Doesnt make difference. One strange thing though I noticed once. My TV game optimizer turned off freesync AMD and switched tò vrr g-sync. When this happened, the freesync was on and the screen went black and the TV showed a refresh rate that changed in a matter of second from 60 hz to 650hz tò 330hz and so on until switched tò vrr gsync. What does this mean?

Same tv (65 c3).

I had the same flicking issue, got an 8k rated cable from AVR to TV and used included 8k cable from xbox to avr. And just like that, no more flickering.

Before and after installation of new cable do video test - in xbox TV setting make sure it detects tv as 4k UHD 120 hz. If not, you got an issue. Possibly as simple as it was for me, with a slow cable.

If you have an AVR like me, make sure you're using an 8k (or 4k) port AND avr is configured to send 4k/8k signal

Hi,

I tried again.

On Hogwarts Legacy, by deactivateing vrr, flickrring brightness didnt happen anymore, but the image sorrounding the character became blurrt whilr moving fast.

On fifa 23, i had a change a brightness for half of second every once 10 minutes but Disney happen anymore. ( on this case i tried also by switching refresh rate from 60 yo 120 also diminuished the cased)

On CP2077 2.0, in every case vrr on or off It happen again tò have issues, buy i noticed that happens while being in car and going fast.( also there Is Always ghosting at the back of the car)

Regarding tiles of the menu settings It happen Always. Not that bothering though.

Didnt try anything else.

I am expecting the update of the firmware. Should do something.
