    Is my Xbox series S broken?


    Earlier today I went to turn on my Xbox series S, but to my surprise there was no display. I also noticed that after a minute or two, the console powers button went black and it would just power off. My controller also couldn’t connect, and the sync button wasn’t working. I leave it on my desk and I’d say I’m pretty clean, but idk if it might be damaged? I’d really appreciate a response. Thank you!

    can use every xbox live gold service except playing online?

    Yes, idk if it's broken or something but I can join parties on both xbox's, I looked it up and you need xbox live gold to start and join parties. The Series S has only my account, and my account has my series S as my home xbox, and I can still join parties and talk(I'm in one right now in fact).

    My name is AJ, I'm an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.
    I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing some issues with your console.

    Would you mind giving these possible solutions a try?

    1) Power Cycle:

    • If your console is on, press and hold the power button until it shuts down.
    • Unplug your console's power button for 3 - 5 minutes.
    • Plug your power cord back in.
    • Try turning your console on

    2) Display reset:

    • If your console is on, press and hold the power button until it shuts down.
    • Unplug your console's power cord for 30 seconds.
    • Plug the power cord back in.
    • Press and hold both the Power button and the Bind button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. Please do not let go until you hear the second beep.

    3) Xbox Troubleshooter:

    • If your console is on, press and hold the power button until it shuts down.
    • Unplug your console's power cord.
    • Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.
    • Press and hold the BIND button, and then press the Xbox button on the console (once).
    • Continue holding the BIND button for 10-15 seconds.
    • Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND button after the second power-up tone.
    • The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.
