Is my minecrfta missing textures or files ?

I came back to play some minecraft after a few years and when I tried to play 1.8.9, this is how my game launches, but no issies with the new version like 1.19.2. Anyone know how to fix this, I've made sure graphics drivers are updated aswell as windows.

I see... let's try this:

Download and install the older Launcher marked as Windows 7/8 from this page - https://minecraft.net/download

Once installed, run the launcher in compatibility mode for Windows 7 and test again

If the issue persist, I think that the best option is reach the Minecraft community discord, their forums or their dedicated support

I don’t think that’s necessary to reset Windows. Or at least, we can discard that option for the moment

May I know if you already tried my previous advice?
Install an older Java version in your PC (you can have multiple Java versions installed)

yes, I spoke to someone and they said i might need to reset windows, but Im not sure why I'd need to do that, when I have never see nthis issue

well my games opens liek that, and i saw you helped someone wit hta similar issue, however, my windows defender isn't blocking anything, idk what else to do to solve the issue
