Is my Minecraft World Saved Locally or Saved on the Cloud?

I’ve recently had a problem that when I save and quit my fav Minecraft world, it says uploading to the cloud and then 2 mins later it says: world upload failed, try again. But I’ve done some troubleshooting where I’ve removed my account from my Xbox. When I removed my account, it said, any data that has not been uploaded to the cloud will be lost forever. I thought that if I removed my account, I will lose my Minecraft world as it’s not saved on the cloud. But I still removed my account. Then after, I added my account again, then launched Minecraft with my account, and guess what? The world was there with the newest version. But how? It wasn’t saved on the cloud? I went onto my file’s explorer app and the Minecraft package folder was gone, and Minecraft was still working fine. Though when I saved the world, it still said world upload failed, but I have a feeling that the world is on the cloud despite it saying world upload failed. Do you think that error message is a bug? Have anyone else been experiencing this recently and continuously?

Heres a screenshot of what I mean from reddit.

    Minecraft Xbox One world lost

You might be lucky, that the cloud save hasn't been updated with the crashed world yet.

In that case, try the following:

Go to the Minecraft tile in "My Games and Apps", and press the Menu button. Choose to manage the game.

WARNING! The following steps will delete the local save storage! If the other worlds haven't been synced with the cloud, your saves will be gone!!!

So if you are willing to take that step, clear the LOCAL save storage of your Minecraft game.

DO NOT choose to delete the games from all consoles (i.e. the cloud storage)!!!

With the local save gone, start Minecraft.

The console will then try to re-sync the local saves from the cloud.

If that worked, you might have a working world from a previous save.

To prevent such things happening in the future, consider backing up your worlds regularly with these instructions: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360034754912-Backing-up-Minecraft-worlds-

Can I get a copy of my 'corrupted’ Minecraft world from the Xbox cloud service?

Thanks. But my local save was not corrupted. It is that I did a Xbox factory reset. After that, I did try to re-sync my Minecraft world (500+MB) and the console said "the cloud save is corrupted".

Is it possible that I get the "corrupted" save from your cloud storage and then I can try to repair it? The Minecraft save is so precious to us. Is this possible?

Is my Minecraft World Saved Locally or Saved on the Cloud?

I don’t really know anyone else who plays Xbox. So instead of adding my profile on someone’s else’s Xbox. Is there a way to do it on my Xbox? And do I need Xbox live gold to upload my Minecraft world to the cloud? And another way to fix this upload error?

And to answer your question, I’m pretty sure that this error message only applies to this particular world

    Thanks,

    Hi, answering your questions:

    1. The Xbox is the one that uploads your progress automatically as soon as you’re connected to the internet
Depending on your world side the upload progress can take more or less

    2. If you try creating a new world something similar happens or is this happening only with this specific world?

    3. If the world is not properly uploaded to the cloud, yes. That is a possibility

    4. The best way is adding your profile on a different console and verify if the world appears once your saved data is downloaded.
I can advise you to do this before proceeding with something else
