    I spilled a little to much rubbing alcohol on my controller but it wasn’t dripping off alcohol but then it turns on but for some

    Reason the dpad specifically the down on dpad was held by the controller as in the input was constantly held and I really don’t want to buy a new controller which is way I ask is it possible to fix like do I have to go in the controller or a repair shop or but a new one

    If the steps above do not fix it, I would say you would need to take it to a repair shop. The alcohol probably damaged the inside of the controller. I'm sorry about that.

    I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Xbox One controller after trying to update the firmware.

    If you are using a USB-C cable to connect the controller, try using another cable to rule out the possibility of the cable being damaged. Make sure the cable you are using is compatible with the Xbox One controller.

    Also if you are using batteries in the controller, remove them and leave them outside for a few minutes. Then, put the batteries back in and check to see if the controller turns on.

    On the back of the controller, near the charging port, there is a small reset hole. Use a paper clip or similar object to press the reset button for a few seconds. Then try turning on the controller again.

    If the controller does not turn on, you may need to try a manual firmware update. Visit the official Xbox website and look for the controller support page. There, you can download the latest firmware for your controller and try to update it manually by following the instructions provided.

    If after trying these suggestions your controller still won't turn on or shows signs of damage, you may need to consider replacing it.

    For £80 i would rather press A on the controller than tell my xo to launch a game. Everything done by K2 will be done better via the controller.

    Yes it is the controller, I have done a hard reset, but I also try my controller on my pc and the problem still occurred
