    Is my console bricked?

My Xboxone S console will no longer start up after powering on. I used the console just yesterday after performing a system update and then playing some games and everything went fine, however today when i tried to play again, the console refused to show anything on the tv, and my controller wont connect to the console even though it can power it on while not being wired to it. I know its not the hdmi as i tested it on my ps4 and it works fine, i even tried a different hdmi cable. Ive also tried disconnecting it from all power for long perionds of time in attempt to hard reset the console but nothing seems to work.

I really dont know what it could be and id just hate to lose my xbox since its the gears of war 4 edition :'(

    Is my console bricked?

    Hi Manny Baker,

Welcome to Microsoft Xbox Community Forum. I understand that you're having trouble with your Xbox One S console. Based on the information you've provided, it's possible that your console is experiencing a hardware issue. However, before we jump to any conclusions, let's try some troubleshooting steps to see if we can get your console up and running again.

First, let's try a power cycle. To do this, unplug the power cable from the back of your console and wait for at least 10 seconds. Then, plug the power cable back in and turn on your console. If this doesn't work, try plugging your console into a different power outlet.

If the power cycle doesn't work, let's try resetting your console's display settings. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Press and hold the Xbox button on your controller to turn off your console.

    2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds until it turns off.

    3. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it back on.

If resetting your console's display settings doesn't work, let's try booting your console into safe mode. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Turn off your console.

    2. Press and hold the Bind button (located on the left side of the console) and the Eject button (located on the front of the console), and then press the Xbox button on the console.

    3. Continue holding the Bind and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds or until you hear two power-up tones.

    4. Release the Bind and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

If your console boots into safe mode, you can try resetting your console to factory defaults. To reset your console to factory defaults, follow these steps:

    1. Select "Reset this Xbox" from the Troubleshoot menu.

    2. Select "Remove everything" to erase all data on your console.

Let me know how it goes.

    Kind regards,

    Marrion
