Is MS doing anything about the bad Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 bumper issues?

I've bought 3 controllers, and all of them have issues with the right bumper not responding after a 6mth or less. This is a quality issue, and there should be some ongoing support for that issue past the warranty period. I had one replaced, and they sent me a refurbished one that registered multiple clicks even though I only clicked once. MS, please repair these with better buttons or extend the warranty period to 3yrs for this issue. Spending $200 on something that breaks in 6mth is not what you expect from an "elite controller. How can the regular controller be more reliable than the upgraded version?

I tried to fill out repair order, but, as mentioned above, those are the only options i got.

Bumper IS a known issue, as you can see.

Btw., it doenst matter what caused 2 years warranty, it is in place and i'm in the right to use it.

I hear the RB is the main issue with Elite Series 2. For €180 I'll pass.

The bumpers have always been the main issue on each and every controller released and they haven’t done anything to improve it. Do you use any off-brand controllers like Scuf or Battle Beaver?

I have had both the elite controller and also the elite series 2.

Issues with both are quite bad considering the cost of the things. The elite series 2 controller has left stick wandering issues, the a button is sometimes non responsive, the bumpers sound really tacky and the rubber comes away from the plastic body where
you grip.

I have gone through 3 elite series controllers (thankfully Game exchanged them each time) and am on the fourth now and it has the exact same issues as the other three, with the acception of the rubber coming away, not had it long enough for that.

To sum up, I am very unhappy with the controller, so much so I am at the moment using an elite series one that has had all the rubber removed, its a bit uncomfortable but this said controller has no other issues.

The bumpers on my launch day Series 1 Elite Controller finally broke a few months ago. Was disappointed that an otherwise perfectly functioning controller (never had the grip issue with mine) was rendered useless because of the poor design of the bumpers.
All the development that went into the Elite and no effort was made to improve this inherent weakness in all Xbox One controllers. I repaired it myself with a replacement bumper from ebay. Never had bumper issues with any of my 360 controllers.
