Is it real necessary to go through all those steps to remove a mod? Skyrim SE

Okay, I know nothing about modding on computers. the only modding experiance I have done. It is with consoles. So is it really necessary to do these steps to uninstall a mod? Do you have to this with computers?

1) go to "manage storage" your "5 GB reserved space" data for Skyrim SE, which will delete your downloaded mods from the mod list; then,

2) delete all "modded saves" in-game through the "load menu"; then,

3) "hard reset" your console by powering down and unplugging for 10-30 seconds; then,

4) re-download your mods, which can be easier if you favorite the mods you intend to download again (personally, I think it is easier just to search for mods in-game going off a handwritten list).

I never had to do that, if I ended up with a mod that was causing crashes or I just didnt like I would go back remove mod from the in game mod dashboard reload a previous save that did not have the mod. Many times it would work without even going to back
to a previous save. It is always a good idea to do a save before doing a mod. I run mainly texture and mapping mods. Some villager routines mods. I believe I run around 20 or so all together. Just remember load order makes a huge difference. So not sure if
your just completely crashed out were the game wont load or just trying to remove something.

Seems like it if you can't load the game, based on the Support Center here. But gee, the documentation for Mods on Xbox One isn't...
great, or if it is it's hard to find. I imagine you can manage and remove/deactivate mods from within the game itself, but not something I can find a support article about, nor have used Mods on Skyrim to know personally.

Is it an issue where you can't load the game? Or would just like to remove mods that you don't want to use anymore?

Not sure about PCs, but to ensure you have got rid of all instances of a mod in Skyrim on Xbox, I have always done a hard reset after removing from the ingame menu.

I’m not completely sure, that just seems to be the easiest way.

I am looking to remove mods I no longer use. I agree there isn't a lot of info out there. Which is a real shame to be honest? I have heard of something called "ghost space" which is a bug on Xbox One. I don't know what it is because I have never encountered
it. I think it has to do with the cache when you delete a mod. Again I really don't know?
