Is it possible to use an HDMI to USB Adapter to Passthrough an IN HDMI?

Hi, I'm sorely missing the functionality of being able to passthrough my computer through my Xbox to my tv so I can play games on my tv but also use the tv as an extra monitor. Is it worth even trying to round about go this or am I forced to just change sources by updating to the Series X it's not even hard to keep the IN HDMI "cost" isn't a valid reason in my personal opinion; I don't even know why it was removed at all I can understand the others but isn't the Xbox supposed to be your entertainment HUB? :/

Sorry to say but HDMI port of most devices are OUT
Usually the screens and TVs are the ones with HDMI IN
If you look at the market and other consoles, basically all of them are intended to be connected (OUT) to something else and not the opposite

The reason this feature was removed was because the TV passthrough feature only really worked in parts of the work that display their TV using the NTSC standard. The reason for this is that NTSC displays a TV image at roughly 30 FPS, this is easy to show on a display that is also running something at 60fps.

Other parts of the world use a system called PAL, and this has a refresh rate of roughly 25 FPS, this means that if its being used on a display also running a game at 60fps, it means the TV that is also being displayed doesn't look good, it basically skips ever few seconds.

This only happened when the Snap feature was being used to Snap live TV while you were playing a game (why people did this I have no idea)

Also you mention that having two HSMI ports doesn't add much to the cost of 1 Xbox, and your right, but multiply that number by millions, and suddenly that minor cost becomes a major cost, especially if the feature isn't being used by many people.

As for your current problem and a work around, I take it you want to plug your PC into your HDMI IN on your Xbox One thereby only requiring one HDMI port to be used on your TV. If you have an Xbox One this will work, however if you have an Xbox Series X/S it wont.

You could purchase a HDMI splitter that takes multiple inputs and pushes them through one output, however the last time I looked into this they were quite expensive (the good ones were)

You can connect your 360 to the Xbox One using the HDMI passthrough not USB.

Most PC Graphics Cards if any Do Not Support CEC so it's unlikely you will be able to change channel using Windows Media centre via HDMI. You can However buy CEC adapter like this. www.pulse-eight.com/.../usb-hdmi-cec-adapter
