Yes, it certainly is possible If in doubt, you can always contact the third party manufacturer of the controller to officially confirm anything regarding their products.

Any accessory (whether Bluetooth or wired) that says it’s compatible for Xbox One should also be compatible with Series X|S consoles (and vice versa), unless specifically stated otherwise and there aren’t currently any controller models like that as far as I’m aware. This doesn’t apply to Xbox 360 accessories.

older models, not they will not work... but TB are releasing a new model designed for use with XB1.. chances of an adapter are possible..but through 3rd parties...but not sure of they will work correctly.

He bought a third party pack for thewrong controller the new 3rd gen controllers

Because it's a recharging plate you need a appropriate backing which older models dont have its important to.check which controller.it's.for

Especially third party battery packs

@op If it says xbox one and not series x then dont get it as they don't sell 2nd gens only anymore

3rd gens work with xbox one s and higher and have longer battery life if you get the play and charge kits and you have the new haptic feedback and share button

Most third parties will sell the new models.it's a matter of making sure you get one like I said has to say series x
