Is it possible to unlink my EA account from my Xbox account?

I've been trying to boot up It Takes Two on my Xbox but when I go into multiplayer it tells me my credentials are expired and that they sent a a link to reset my password to my email. The thing is I never get this email. I'm positive I am using the right one and I've talked to customer service like 3 times now. They're probably doing the best they can but it's difficult and frustrating when you're asking certain things or they're trying to explain something and they're not able to convey it properly because they don't speak English well enough. I was talking to one representative and I thought he was solving the problem but was doing something completely different. The point is that there's no way for me to actually play the game on my Xbox without that prompt gone. The only way I see that happening since EA hasn't been helpful is just unlinking my Xbox account from the EA account. I've been on forums where people have the exact same problem and the natural solution would be just to unlink the accounts through EA but for some reason my EA account doesn't register that it's linked my Xbox account despite my Xbox literally displaying the prompt saying it is. The only things I can link/unlink through Xbox are social accounts which does not include my EA account. The forums I was on displayed no solution and people just gave up. I'm writing to ask if there is really no solution or if maybe someone at Microsoft can intervene and do this for me since there's no way I can. I had a friend tell me he got a email progress transfer done this way for a Forza game so I'm wishful.

TLDR: My "expired" EA account is making it impossible for me to play EA games on Xbox. I reached out to EA support and got no help. I tried basically everything and got nothing. Now my only resort is to somehow unlink these account because I can't do it through EA or Xbox normally.

You should be able to unlink your Xbox account from your EA account by signing into your EA Account and under your profile info you should see all the linked profiles.

I can't get into my EA account anymore though. So is there a way I can do this from my Xbox account?

It's not possible to unlink the accounts from Xbox side, as this accounts are linked from the EA side, you need to have access to the EA account linked or the account information unfortunately

According to the official EA unlinking FAQ website:

"You can unlink your platform accounts from your EA Account if you want to link them to a different EA Account, as long as that EA Account has never had the same account type linked to it before in its lifetime.

That means if you unlink an Xbox gamertag from your EA Account, you can’t link a different Xbox gamertag to it in the future."

Unfortunately is not possible to link a different Xbox account / gamertag, only the one that you linked at the beginning

Thank you for the reply and the help. Before I do this I just want to confirm a few things in the form of two questions. First, you mentioned a was a wait time between relinking an EA account to Xbox account after I unlink them. I looked it up and it seems that the wait time is about 6 months. Is that true? Next assuming that that is true and that I want to play an EA game will I be able to since I don't have an account linked?
