Is it possible to unlink a minecrat account from a microsoft account.

Kindly follow the steps below that could fix the issue.

Just to let you know that once a Microsoft account has been linked to a PlayStation™ Network account, it cannot be unlinked without loss of access to entitlements and Minecoins on other platforms.

That is according to the Minecraft website.

that would remove his entire microsoft account from the pc, he wants to unlink that from the xbox account but that is not possible.

Try unlinking your Microsoft account from PlayStation (if possible because I don't use it). you can also unlink 3rd party apps/sites (such as PlayStation) from your Microsoft account from here:

https://account.live.com/consent/Manage

It is not possible to unlink a PlayStation account from a Microsoft account. Once it's done it's done and you can't link another one
