Is it possible to turn on gameplay audio for the Xbox One Chat Headset provided?

I have seen multiple times that other headsets have the capability to play the audio from the games themselves, and I am wondering whether this is possible or not for the Xbox One chat headset. If it is possible, I would like to know how it can be activated.

    :)

  2. Xbox One Headset Adapter Question

Is it possible to turn off the game audio that is being sent through the adapter and ONLY have chat audio be sent through it?

I have a Turtle Beach PX51 headset which gets surround sound audio by wirelessly, however, it also receives the game audio through the headset adapter making the game audio absolutely bonkers. It is way too loud and sometimes isn't in sync, so I get echoes.

    XBOX ONE Headset Adapter (Problem)

You have to turn the game audio down to zero on the adapter, basically press the chat button on the adapter unroll you hear a double beep.

The reason for this is that the Xbox One is sending the game audio and chat audio through the adapter. Your also getting the surround sound through the Turtle Beach transmitter. So if you don't turn the game audio down through the chat adapter you'll get
stereo and surround sound in your headset.

Question About New Headset Adapter Before I Purchase.

As seen on MS Official Site for the Adapter:

A headset with chat audio provided by a 3.5-mm audio cable and game audio provided by a separate cable with RCA or optical connectors. (Only chat audio
will be enabled through the Stereo Headset Adapter.
For RCA/optical connectors [game audio], follow the manufacturer’s instructions to connect to the console.)

Will The Turtle Beach X32 Be Compatible with the new Xbox One Headset Adapter?

If you do not have the RCA out, the only way this would work is if the Headset uses the Optical Out of the ONE

To get in to details Turtle Beach Says: Please note that you will need to connect this headset to the stereo outputs from your TV or audio receiver for game audio and use the Kinect® for game chat with Xbox One.

    Microsoft Says:

The following 3.5-mm audio headset types are supported:

A single 3.5-mm audio cable headset.

A dual 3.5-mm audio cable headset with 3.5-mm CTIA audio cables.

A headset with chat audio provided by a 3.5-mm audio cable and game audio provided by a separate cable with RCA or optical connectors. (Only chat audio will be enabled through the Stereo Headset Adapter. For RCA/optical connectors [game audio], follow the
manufacturer’s instructions to connect to the console.)

An Xbox 360 Wired Headset with a 2.5-mm audio cable. Connect to the Stereo Headset Adapter by using the 2.5-mm-to-3.5mm adapter that’s included with the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter.

    mic and audio

make sure chat and game audio are turned up and that your xbox audio is set to headset not speaker

What do you use as a mic in game?

Azrael, the solution you provide is a lackluster solution. I stated the reason why above but so you don't have to go all the way to the top and read it again, I will re explain the issue.

    .

The xbox one does not have the same feature that the xbox 360 has, which is the chat through speaker and headset. So, I have a polk audio Melee headset but it is connected to my xbox one with an Optical audio and a USB cable. this powers the headset and
gives it audio from the game and chat. The xbox one looks at the optical out as speakers as most will use this port for running a sound system or something along those lines.

    .

Now when you connect the xbox provided headset, it takes the chat from your team mates that used to go through the speakers and runs it through the headset, being the xbox one provided headset. What this means is the headset I am wearing to hear the game,
the Polk Audio Melee that the xbox one registers as speakers, no longer gets game chat.

    .

If xbox one had the play through speakers and headset option, there would be no issue, but they don't so I can either put the xbox one headset on and not hear the game, or put the one headset around my neck, and let my teammates hear me but me not hear them.

    .

So your solution did not actually work.
