Is it possible to Transcode MKV to MP4 on the XBOX ONE?

I was not sure whether to set this as a discussion or a question, so I chose a question. Now I do know that MS itself does not offer any app or service that can accomplish this task. However, I am sure there must be something on the app store that can
do this, which is why I am asking. Money isn't a problem, so if a transcoder app exists on the xbox one, even if it charges (as long as it works), please let me know. It is indeed probably technically possible to do this through the microsoft web browser,
but doing it through local storage and through an app would be much more convenient, and for the purpose of this question please assume that I have no PC to use for transcoding. I specifically only care about MKV > MP4, it doesn't matter if any audio tracks
or subtitles get removed. Please, any app recommendations would be great. Please no boilerplate copy/paste responses like "this isn't possible", I am sure it is possible as I have done some crazy things on my Xbox one, it is extremely versatile.

EDIT: To clarify, yes, I know the Xbox One can play MKV files, that has nothing to do with my question however.

Not what you want to hear but what you're asking simply isn't possible.

Xbox One can play videos locally and it play video's sent or transcoded from a media server, but it can't convert one video file to another. You need a PC/laptop for that.

The big one I've seen is Plex and there is a Plex app on the Xbox Store. I'm not well versed in these things, but there are quite a few video tutorials on YouTube about Plex and Xbox One.

I'm pretty sure you'll need something to work as a 'Media server' to put your videos on to share with your console. As I understand it, Plex can transcode MKV videos.

Yiu can drag and drop anyformat avi mpg mp4 mkv etc etc and convert into a specific format

Other converters will only convert one format at a time

I have solved this issue independently on my Xbox one via an app I found on the xbox one which is capable of transcoding MKV to MP4. Thread can be closed.
