I no longer can access my Xbox I shared with a former roommate and am trying to make it do they can’t play on my profile is this possible would changing my password work if I can’t technically sign out of it

I’m sorry to say, but both of the previous responses are totally incorrect. There is no way to remotely sign out or remove your profile from a console you don’t have physical access to. That said, if you want to prevent your profile from being used on a
console you no longer have access to, all you need to do is change the password of the Microsoft Account that is associated with your Gamertag. More info at the links below :

There is no way to remotely remove your account from someone's console. You would have to physically delete it yourself. Removing their console as your Home only means they can no longer access your games from their own account. If your account is still
sign in on the console, they can still access it.

No,it's not possible for anyone to hack your xbox console unless they have physical access to it. It can't be hacked online.
