Is it possible to recover an xbox cloud save file?

I wanted to transfer my first ever play through from my xbox 360 hard drive to the xbox cloud so I could play it on my xbox one. However when I did this, my current play through was deleted. Is there any way to recover it?

Accidentally deleted borderlands 2 save file from backwards compatible borderlands 2

If you originally had the save file on your Xbox 360 and you transferred it over to your Xbox One via Save Cloud then you should still be able to go to your Xbox 360 and just take the save file off the Save Cloud and then put it back in to the Save Cloud
so it appears on your Xbox One again, if you started to play the Backwards Comp. game with a new save file on the Xbox One then it should hopefully (not completely sure) but it should hopefully still have been copied over to your Xbox 360 Account on the Save
Cloud and just take it off and put it back into the Save Cloud again. If its not there then I'm sorry, but there is then no possible way to recover your save file.

Can you copy local save files to the cloud, or vice versa?

Hey there. Is it possible to copy local saves to the cloud, and vice versa? I was just wondering it was possible for me to access my saves on any Xbox using the cloud this way, because every time I select it it just tries to create a new save file.

I am not sure what exactly you are trying to transfer, but if you overwrite or delete something on the cloud, there are no options available to recover it.

Ok thanks. I have 1.2gb of save data on the console. Is there no backup data stored within that which I could possibly access?

I can't delete the data off my console as apparently certain save files are not backed up to the cloud, such as career mode data. That data is saved to the console and if deleted off the console will not be recovered from the cloud.

Hi Charles. If the saved data is still in the cloud, it should be possible to recover and will automatically sync the next time the game is launched. Otherwise, if it's deleted from the cloud, I'm afraid the progress is permanently lost and can't be recovered.

That's a misunderstanding of the cloud honestly. Yes, the save is linked to your Gamertag but it's only a back-up of the last save on each system you played on. It allows you to access that file on other Xbox's or the PC if it's a Play Anywhere title.
If you both play on the same Xbox, the cloud will only have the last saves for both of your accounts. You should check her account to see if your save file is there. If both save files are the same, somehow yours got overwritten and unfortunately there will
be no way to recover that.
