Is it possible to play Diablo 2 Resurrected via Xbox Game Pass and Battle.net account

Microsoft has stated they wish to move as many Activision/Blizzard titles as possible to Game Pass, and certainly Diablo would be a likely candidate

However Microsoft cannot discuss any specific plans until if/when the merger is approved and completed

If you're talking about transferring your purchases from Battle.net, that's a different kettle of fish that would be addressed on its own, seperately from GamePass

If you wish everything in one place, I suggest you create a "games" folder on your desktop and include shortcuts to your titles, regardless of the launcher they use that should keep them together.

Hopefully, everything will be manageable under one platform (i.e. Xbox Game Pass) as there are other cloud/subscription based services that allow you "emulate" a high-end compute resources and top GPUs to play games on a budget/on the move machine. Few examples: Shadow, Boosteroid, GeForce Now, PlayStation Now.

Isn't it the logical focus to attract even bigger client base and expand current services and retention of players? Microsoft acquire Blizzard (including Battle.net platform and its all available titles on it).

In the end (purely from gaming perspective), I would like to play as many titles as possible using already purchased licenses while on the move.

Netbook device with access to top graphics (i.e. RTX 3000 series capable) experience using my Xbox/Battle.net account, why not?

Of course, I would accept to pay subscription fee for such capabilities.

As of the moment, there is no information yet or official announcement in regards to the said acquisition specifically on what will happen with the games from blizzard. I would recommend checking Microsoft's news page as well as their social media sites for announcements.

The game was released on Xbox, so it's listed as the same backend governs both console and the Windows Store. Microsoft does not own Activision at this time, and the game was released on game consoles so it's listed. The vast, vast majority of Xbox titles have no Windows Store counterpart.

Whether XCloud will expand to offer GeForce style services remains to be seen, but would be unrelated to the merger

Xbox Series X powers XCloud at this time, and offers the same level of computing power as a high end PC. Please keep in mind character/save migration between versions and even online stores (Steam, Battle.net etc) may be an issue, though certainly Borderlands/GTA style solutions may be possible, but not guaranteed

I have the same issue with Diablo IV on the xbox game bar. The game was install using battle.net. It appears the xbox game bar recognizes it is a game however, my status only shows online. I believe this is the only game so far that I have encounter this issue. The resources top task in the game bar shows battle.net as high and not Diablo IV, but the task manager shows Diablo IV. Call of Duty was installed using battle.net as well; however, xbox game bar shows the status as playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare.
