    I wish to play Minecraft with my friends, yet the fact that my username is displayed with [Username(#XXXX)] is problematic despite me being the first to ever truly claim the username in the first place (I made sure of it.) My friends have no discriminators in their names and are unique but mines weren't the case, is it cause I made the username before x period/date? or will I be forced to pay 10 dollars to not only change it to something else but then pay another 10 just to change the name back, could I get some help to remove them/find some insight on how to remove them?

    I would like to let you know that, unfortunately, this is not possible. Even if you own both accounts, the gamertag change system is independent of this.

    Additionally, as this system is automatic, it is not possible to bypass the $10 fee it asks you to change the gamertag.

    it? Pay $10, have your name changed within 10 hours. Don't like it? Pay ten more dollars. I got robbed. Microsoft is employed by a bunch of thieves.
