Is it possible to hide games from owned games in the Xbox application?

sorry to hear you are having trouble, could you search for the game in store. it should here allow you to install as you already own the game.

you could also try power cycling your console - power cycle

its also possible for you to hide games from your install list, maybe its been done accidental but here are some tips on how to unhide any hidden games or apps from the ready to install list - hide/unhide

Hello Adam, unfortunately it is not possible to hide the games that appear in the recommendations, you can only hide the games that are in the catalog of your Xbox (Console)

Highlight the game that you want to hide. The X Hide tip appears inside the highlighted field. Press the X button  on your controller to hide the game.

I regret to inform you, but it's not possible to remove or hide a game (paid or free) you already own from your library. At the moment, only Xbox consoles have the option to hide a game from the library, but on either platform, it is not possible to completely remove it.
